A BIT ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

Hola wonderful readers! My name is Viola from Cavite, Philippines. I am a devoted mother to my chocolate Labrador Retiever. A lady who has a relish for cooking. A slave to desserts. Consuming a lot of sweets is not good for the body so I am making it sure that I drink a lot of water to clean my system. I know it's not enough by drowning myself of water. One way to free yourself from the guilt of too much sugar is to burn them. My physical activities depends on my mood. I do HIIT (high intensity interval training) If I wanna be dead tired. For less strenuous exercise yet drains the sweat you desire, Pilates is what I recommend. For a great stretch and a silent mind, I speak favorably of Yoga. When I feel bubbly, I do belly dancing. My favorite belly dancer is Sadie (check her videos on youtube). Like everyone else, I have an Itchy Feet (you mean an athlete's foot?). No, itchy feet like wanting to move from one place to another. I love beaches, mountains and bushes.

I am a licensed nurse but never practice it. I've had 3 different jobs in the past five years. I worked as a customer service representative, a hotel stewardess in an international cruise line and a real estate agent. What I really enjoy was being a real estate agent. On my last contract, I wasn't able to produce golden eggs for the team. I like it so much but need to (let it go, let it go, can't hold it back anymore). With the experience I gained for the past 5 years, it helped me to narrow the path to find my calling. I ll be where I belong, soon.

“If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on.” --  Steve Jobs

Thanks for dropping by! I ll be posting more to my blog so stay tune! mwah!

A Night of Growls and Riffs: Arch Enemy Live in World Trade Center Manila October 20, 2009

It's been almost six years since I set eyes on Arch Enemy's Concert that was held in World Trade Center, Manila on October 20, 2009 (Tuesday). Prices of tickets are P 2,000 (VIP, meet and greet), P 1,500 (VIP) and P 600 (general admission). My friends and I purchased the VIP:Meet and Greet.

clusters of "bakal"

Before the highlight, the show featured local acts (Mortal Fear, Bloodshedd, Badburn, and Intolerant).

Bloodshedd

Later on, the crowd cheered as Arch Enemy made their entrance on stage. I still have the lucid memory of the enthusiastic crowd. It was crazy. It was just another night in the roaring moshpit.

Unfortunately, I cannot find their setlist that night on the internet. In spite of that I assure you that they played most of their compelling tracks. After the show, we proceeded to the backstage for the meet and greet. While waiting for the band members of Arch Enemy the crew gave us 2 slices pizza for each and a can of soda. After an almost hour of waiting, only Daniel Erlandsson (drummer) and Sharlee D' Angelo (bassist) attended the meet and greet. A large number of people got disappointed, but we were still thankful two of the members were present for the Meet and Greet.

feeling close? haha

a hug to remember

These two members (Daniel and Sharlee) who were present during the meet and greet were awesome. We know you guys were tired but still you managed to join us at the backstage. Kudos! That night was a blast!

Dogs Get Jealous , too

This is our 9 month old choco Labrador Retriever. One night I petted a stuffed toy dog, kissed it and hugged it.

                                                                       hey! Jealousy

These actions resulted to jealousy of Legend. She started to show signs of aggression, barking, chasing me,wanting to get between us and wants my attention. According to study their jealousy is not of an adult that tortures the emotion but instead this kind of jealousy is commonly seen to infants when the mother shows affection to other baby.

Adventure Awaits in Panguil Eco Park Laguna

I've been wondering for many months about where to get a place which is pet friendly, close to Cavite and with reasonable price. Thanks to tita Del who suggested the place Panguil River Eco - Tourism Park in Natividad Pangil Laguna. It is approximately 2 hours away from Bacoor Cavite. Who would have thought that there is a splendid scenery within the reach. What I am about to write was the first and second visit in Panguil Eco Park.

FIRST VISIT

The first visit was September 28,2014 and to celebrate the 6th month of our kid (well our kid has paws, tail and fur). Her name is Legend. She is a chocolate labrador.

                                                                                                the Gang

                                                             very affordable,huh?

can't believe we have these for an economical price

nipa huts along the Panguil river

After a short rest in our cottage, tour guide (Ryan) lead us to Ambon Ambon Falls. The journey to get to the falls is trekking (more or less 30 minutes)  and with the aid of bamboo rafts.

and to pay homage to Ryan (our tour guide) I will post this one and only photo we have. haha! He is so nice and definitely we will ask for him for our future visits in Panguil Eco Park

At the midst of our bushwalking back to the cottage, Ryan suggested that we can take the river tubing. These big black round rubbers will bring us to the nipa huts.

Two thumbs up for Panguil Eco Park, we will visit again. Soon!!!

SECOND VISIT

The second visit was December 21,2014. This time we invited more people to join us in Panguil Eco Park.  We asked Ryan to be our tour guide for our second visit.

                                                                                  the more the merrier

Due to the recent typhoons that hit the region, 2 out of 3 bamboo rafts were damaged. The situation obliged us to cross the river using just a rope.

Unfortunately, 3 of us were left behind in the 4th station. My aunt, her son and Chloe (the shih tzu) decided not to go the falls. My dog (Legend) is heavy to carry to the ladder so I made my choice not to push through and wait for the others to return.

Legend was getting worried as my brother fight against the strong current

the ladder to get to the falls

Above all, we enjoyed the second visit in Panguil. Who would not find it blissful to see your fur baby playing in the water?

and she loves the water so much

Till next time!
